DIY: Little Who Lantern Bear Karl
Lantern, lantern, sun, moon and stars…
On November 11th it's finally that time again, St. Martin is just around the corner and the children want to run through the streets with colorful lanterns. Our bear Karl loves to follow the colorful lights in the streets and sing St. Martin's songs out loud, so we dedicated a lantern to him. Here you can find craft instructions and a template to download .
We look forward to seeing your results. Have fun crafting.
What do I need for my Little Who Lantern:
- cardboard
- Tracing paper
- Scissors
- Pen
- glue/hot glue
- wire/cord
Step 1: Print out our template for the lantern Karl the Bear. Tip: The template can also be printed directly onto cardboard and tracing paper, pages 3-4 must be printed twice.
Step 2: Cut out the stencil parts according to your printing instructions. All parts must be cut out twice so that our bear Karl can shine on both sides.
Step 3: Now we start with the gluing: First, you glue the tracing paper onto the corresponding cardboard body parts. The basic structure is ready.
Step 4: Now we come to the details: You can place the bear's body on our orientation aid and align and glue the face, ears, arms and legs accordingly.
Step 5: Now the parts of the sides and base have to be glued together. After a short break, the corners on the left and right can be folded at a 90 degree angle. The body can then be attached to it. To do this, glue is spread on the corners and placed on the body. When the process is completed on both sides, we are almost done.
Step 6: Finally, use a sharp pencil to make holes in the marked spot. Wire or cord can be threaded through the holes as a hanging device. The bear can now be hung on your glow stick and can shine happily through the streets.
Of course, you can also personalize your bear, maybe you'll give him something to hold in his paws? Or an unusual patch? Show us your creative ideas and link us on Instagram.
